Feature Movie Vehicle: Ghostbusters Ecto-1A
Ghostbuster’s world-famous Ecto-1A. The iconic vehicle appeared not only in the movies but also in the comics, animated series and videogames. We are looking forward with the recent announcement that Jason Reitman’s new 2020 movie, Ghostbusters 3, will continue the original continuity of the classic 80s films, Fans may even see the Ecto-1 back on the big screen!
For the entire two-day convention, fans can check out and be pictured with the classic car both Saturday and Sunday
The Iron Man HulkBuster Presented by: Hofmann
The Iron Man HulkBuster Created by Thomas DePetrillo and Presented by Hofmann Sausage Company: will be available for out of this world photo opportunities both Saturday and Sunday. Hofmann's will be serving Delicious Sausages just outside the New York State Fair Expo Center Entrance with The Hulk Buster! You do not want to miss this opportunity. Millions of Hofmann hot dogs and sausages have been consumed by fans of their iconic Central New York brand since the beginning of Hot Dog history.
Thomas DePetrillo starting making "Extreme" costumes 22 years ago, mostly for Halloween costume contests. He joined the cosplay community in 2009 with his first of 6 Bumblebee cosplays. Since that point he has made cosplay his full time career, and employs a team under him. He has clients like Chevy, Caribbean Cruise, Disney, Sky Network, Duck Tape and Hasbro. Extreme Costumes has also won multable awards, including best in show at New York Comic Con and Anime Expo, Americas largest comic con and anime conventions. His work is also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records four times, for the worlds largest mobile cosplays.
Now Thomas is employed also as a full time cosplayer, and has been a featured guest at dozens of events. His shop is 4,200 square feet filled with a full armory of robots. He has a successful YouTube, Instagram, and FaceBook channels all under the name Extreme Costumes.

"If Slimer’s in Syracuse City Hall, who ya gonna call?
Mayor Ben Walsh is calling on “Ghostbusters” star Ernie Hudson to address rumors of “a mysterious green slime... on the walls of City Hall," according to a press release. Walsh and Hudson will make an announcement on the front steps of Syracuse City Hall on Friday, July 5, at noon.
Hudson will appear in his full Ghostbusters uniform as Winston Zeddemore, his character in the 1984 movie and the 1989 sequel, “Ghostbusters II.” The Ecto-1A vehicle used by the Ghostbusters will also make an appearance."

"The New York State Fairgrounds hosts superheroes and more next weekend, for the Salt City Comic-con.
The comic book/pop culture festival is a continuation of the A'Fair, a two day kid-family event that includes carnival rides and games, and fair-style food July 4th, 2-10pm, then on July 5th 1 - 10pm carnival events and food, plus live music and fireworks at the end. Comic-con carries on the family fun theme on Saturday and Sunday, with the inside of the Expo Center focusing on pop culture from comics, movies, TV, books, graphic novels and cosplay. Special guest is Ernie Hudson from Ghostbusters 3. There's a special edition Spiderman comic for the event with the cover showing the super-hero on the Expo Center. Organizer Allen Laventure tells us the cover and comic were created by Marvel Comics and the storyline also includes the Fair"

The New York State Fair announced on twitter Saturday its teaming up with Marvel for the first ever state fair Marvel comic.
You can see America's favorite wall crawler swinging outside the state fair ground's new exposition center on the cover of the exclusive comicbook.
The special issue will be on sale for Salt City Comic-con in July and on the state fair's first ever comic-con day August 28."

"From Star Wars and Ghostbusters to Fortnite and Halo, costumed characters from comic books, movies, video games and anime took over the Canyon area of Destiny USA Saturday afternoon at the 2018 Salt City Comic-Con.
Vendors and exhibitors offering comics, toys and artwork are set up throughout the Embassy Suites, while outside tents host live music, food trucks, dunk tanks and a family zone with bounce houses and face painting. Look for the iconic jeep from Jurassic Park and a dinosaur dig.
Take the bridge across Hiawatha Boulevard to the Canyon at Destiny USA for more cosplay and trivia contests.
The fun continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with appearances by Goldust from the WWE, actress and stuntwoman Janeshia Adams-Ginyard, actor Jason Narvy from the Power Rangers, Erik Stolhanske and Paul Soter of Super Troopers and actress Rachel True from The Craft. A "Gathering of the Sabers" training event is planned for 3 p.m. at the All Star Alley & Tavern Stage in Destiny USA, and a kids' cosplay contest will begin at 5 p.m. "

"Fans of comics, superhero movies, TV shows, wrestling, and more came together over the weekend for the Salt City Comic-Con.
The event was held July 7-8 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Destiny USA in Syracuse. Celebrity guests included WWE wrestler Goldust; "Super Troopers" stars Erik Stolhanske and Paul Soter; "The Craft" actress Rachel True; "Black Panther" actress and stuntwoman Janeshia Adams-Ginyard; and "Power Rangers" actor Jason Narvy.
The geeky fun also featured cosplayers (costume players dressed up as their favorite characters), a "Star Wars" droid, the Mystery Machine from "Scooby-Doo," a "Stranger Things" scene, "Transformers" robots, comics and fan art, pop culture collectibles and more. "
